Automation Potential in: Student enrollment
In an increasingly competitive higher-education environment, changing student demographics and pressure to innovate both academics and student experience, public and private higher-education institutions (HEIs) are seeing expenses grow faster than revenue. At the same time student and parent expectations for “service quality” continue to rise.
These cost pressures and increased service expectations are encouraging HEIs to look to technology solutions for cost savings, efficiency gains and improved service delivery. As in many other sectors, robotic process automation is increasingly being leveraged in higher education.
Automation Impact Evaluation
Student enrolment is the first opportunity for HEI to create a good impression.
Robotic Process Automation (RPA) can be used to check a student’s eligibility criteria, validate and verify information, shortlist candidates and more. Where student data comes in as PDF or a scanned document, OCR (Optical Character Recognition) can then read and digitise this data for faster processing. Once uploaded into a database, bots can then verify information that may be available online.
