CASE STUDY: GBS DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION

SUCCESSFUL GLOBAL PROJECT
LOCATION AND FEASIBILITY
REPUTATION INTACT
OVERVIEW
Swarovski were looking for a partner to develop a global transformation project which included the transfer of all back-office services to a GBS (Global Business Service). As a family owned and managed company, the Change Management approach was critical to not cause upset in a company who had generations of the same families all working for them.
CHALLENGES
The main challenge with this project was the nature of the company itself. As a well established business in a relatively small (geographically speaking) location, retention of staff was critical to the long term success of the company. It was key that we had strong working relationships throughout all levels of the business and so worked onsite on a regular basis.
WE DELIVERED
Using our collaborative approach to strategy development our senior executive team attended a series of strategy workshops where we defined the change plan from vision through to execution and sign off.
Proservartner developed the business case for the programme and facilitated complete sign off and acceptance within the business. We then supported and trained internal change agents who acted as ambassadors for the programme and the main source of information and updates within different teams. We put together a comprehensive communications plan to ensure the smoothest transition possible.
OUR RESULTS
The end result was a successful implementation of global project supported end to end. Swarovski were able to retain their reputation of being a family-centred business and Proservartner also conducted helped with the location and set up of the new GBS.
