The Challenge
With the impending SAP deadline to complete transition to S/4HANA, many organisations are now preparing for the significant investment and building their cases for change to support their S/4HANA programme. Leadership and IT sponsors are developing plans that provide the optimal transition route to meet both technical and business expectations, including the deployment of accelerators to standardise operations.
Implementation leaders are planning out and finding the right capabilities and partners such as systems integrators to support delivery of this major initiative. The leaders of the initiative are having to make and manage decisions with long lead times on delivering value to the programme. All this on the back of significant recent economic shocks and enterprises playing catch-up on digital transformation efforts.
Discussion
The session will gather CIOs, Transformation Leaders, Data Officers and Business Sponsors to discuss how they have prepared and run preparations around partners on the journey and the strategic and tactical aspect of data. Talking points include:
- What is the best approach for selecting partners? How do you manage the relationship over the full lifecycle of the S/4HANA implementation?
- What are the critical lessons for successful Discovery and how does it impact the latter phases of the programme? How have leaders mitigated risks in this phase?
- Why worry about Data? What are the strategic decisions needed to be made about Data Structures and Information that will flow out of S/4HANA in the future?
